This position statement has been developed for cancer clinicians and other healthcare professionals caring for people with cancer. The COVID-19 pandemic is constantly evolving and the position statement may be updated with emergence of new evidence.
Members of MOGA encompass the spectrum of identifying characteristics with regards to gender, age, fellow status, state of residence, type of practice (public and private), remoteness (metro, rural, or remote), and cultural heritage.

Here we review the issues around decision-making processes by an oncology physician to arrive at the most appropriate dose for each patient. This information is valuable to a range of health professionals, including nurses, pharmacists and administrators, as well as patients, to allow them to understand medical oncologists’ decisions and support them where appropriate.
