RACP 2025 Pre-Budget Recommendations to the Australian Government Treasury

Recommendations for this round centre trainee and specialist workforce, wellbeing and resilience in what represents a significant push to cement the College approved workforce policy and advocacy priority focus as groundwork for further ongoing work with the Australian Government. The recent ‘Your Workforce-Your Say Survey’ of 739 members practising across Australia from all DFaCS and specialties heavily informed the workforce recommendations.

Please note that the funding recommendations are aligned to the current specific Australian budget and political context, noting expected Budget constraints, the Government’s primary concern with economic inflation, costs of living, a likely upcoming election, and delivery of the Budget in caretaker mode. As such, the pitch and nature of the Budget recommendations have been scaled to the current context and its constraints.
