MOGA Representative - CPMC Executive Committee and Specialty-focused Societies Meeting

There are several critical issues currently under consideration that will significantly impact our healthcare landscape, including potential changes to the expedited Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) pathway and the Scope of Practice review, which will affect all specialties. To address these challenges, CPMC propose convening a meeting between the Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges (CPMC) Executive Committee and specialty-focused societies that operate outside the direct governance of individual Colleges. This meeting aims to highlight the implications of these issues and coordinate advocacy efforts in the lead-up to the upcoming election.

Prof Phil Parente will be the MOGA nominee to participate in this CPMC Executive Committee and specialty-focused societies meeting which will be held in mid-February in Melbourne.

MOGA looks forward to collaborate as we work together to advocate for meaningful and positive change in these critical areas.
