Private Medical Oncology Consultant Positions

GenesisCare and Lake Macquarie Oncology are seeking 1 or 2 medical oncologists to join our team. Our joint practice, part of Hunter Cancer Centre, offers comprehensive cancer care, supported by Ramsay HealthCare at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. We provide services including surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, palliative care and clinical trials.

Positions involve 2-3 consulting sessions per week, with at least one session at GenesisCare (Maitland). Both locations offer ambulatory chemotherapy 5 days/week, with inpatient care at LMPH. Our oncologists manage all cancer types and share a 1 in 6 weekend on-call rota.

Opportunities exist for participation in clinical and translational research, hospital development, and practice expansion. Successful applicants may also qualify for clinical academic positions at the University of Newcastle and future public hospital roles.

Applicants must have FRACP (Medical Oncology), current specialist AHPRA registration and eligibility for a Medicare provider number with full billing rights.
