eviQ is actively recruiting registrars, advanced trainees and fellows to assist with protocol development in 2025
eviQ Purpose: eviQ’s vision is to support safe, high-quality cancer care by partnering with healthcare professionals to develop up-to-date, evidence-based resources trusted nationally and internationally. We ensure equitable access to reference committee (RC) membership across Australia and New Zealand, encouraging participation from both large cancer centres and smaller regional sites.
Who Can Join? Membership is open to practising medical oncologists, fellows, and advanced trainees (AT). Once joined members have access to a dedicated homepage where they can volunteer to develop a protocol as part of their professional development, which is recognised by MOGA.
What Is Required? Membership is voluntary, and clinicians can choose to join the Reference Committee (RC) aligned with their tumour group interest. More information on roles and responsibilities can be found here:
Reference committee meetings (RCM) occur annually or every second year depending on individual tumour group requirements, there is a list of meetings on the eviQ member homepage
RCM are virtual, they focus on reviewing both new and existing protocols, duration is usually 1 – 4 hours
Protocol development prior to the meeting is a collaborative effort between eviQ, the developing registrar, AT or fellow and a lead consultant.
What is achieved?
Becoming a Reference Committee member offers the opportunity to collaborate with practising clinicians, share clinical expertise, and gain professional development. This contributes to the clinical relevance and evidence-based nature of eviQ resources for cancer centres, clinicians, patients, and families.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the eviQ reference committee team in your tumour group/s of interest.
